Sevnica, 07 February (STA) - Lisca, one of the biggest lingerie makers in Europe, reported a 135% increase in profit in 2013, as the figure climbed to EUR 1.7m . Its generated sales of EUR 29.2m, 10% more than a year earlier.
The group generated 80% of its revenue abroad and mostly on its own two brands, Lisca and Cheek by Lisca.
The biggest rise in sales was recorded in Italy, Germany, Russia and the Netherlands, the company said in a press release after a supervisory board meeting on Thursday.
Producing upmarket underwear, Lisca used to be the biggest lingerie maker in the former Yugoslavia and reportedly remains the biggest lingerie maker in Eastern Europe and one of the biggest in Europe as whole.
The supervisors also approved on Thursday the business plan for this year, under which the company expects to generate EUR 30m in revenues and EUR 2.1m in profit.
