This summer Austrian logistics company Cargo Partner started to build a 25 million euro infologistics center near Ljubljana’s airport.
The iLogistics Centre will provide 25,000 square meters of storage space, as well as 6,000 square meters of small parts and single-pick areas, 5,000 square meters of cross dock and block storage space and 4,000 square meters of office space. Earlier in Spring German integrated logistics group Kuehne + Nagel built near a pharmaceutical warehouse with 40,000 square meters of storage near the airport as well. It is Kuehne + Nagel's largest pharma warehouse and will serve as one of the three biggest warehouses of Swiss pharma group Novartis. The investment is valued at 50 million euros. Both new buildings are an important step towards making Ljubljana Airport a key logistics hub in the region. The airport is operated by Fraport Slovenia, a part of German Fraport, one of the leading players in the global airport business.
